Wade through the standard Upper East Side mob of white guys in Old Navy t-shirts, and you’ll find that the eggs Benedict in this upper east side cafe are not worth the effort.
The Hollandaise was fully congealed by the time it arrived—and since it hadn’t run down the side it was questionable whether it had ever been in a liquid state. Eggs were underdone, muffin oversized, and the canadian bacon barely caused a blip.
Adding insult to injury, the mimosa and bloody mary were both undrinkable.
The best thing was the cheddar cheese muffin. Go for the double french toast with berries instead ... delicious.
