I wasn’t expecting much from hotel room service, especially after a late night watching the Masked Critic play Blackjack, but when the cart was uncovered and wheeled in, it held an impressively bad eggs Benedict.
The Hollandaise sat congealed and crusted in a side dish, waiting to be scooped out over the naked eggs.
The only note of interest was that the color and pattern of the hash brows exactly matched that of the hotel room’s wall-to-wall carpeting. I didn’t check, but I assume the taste would have been similar, too.
