The Morning Glory Coffee Shop was just fine for a quick breakfast in Gloucester before heading up to better brunches in Maine. On the docks in the ground floor of the Gloucester House, Morning Glory is a pleasant place, but it would be nicer if the view were of the water instead of the parking lot.
Eggs Benedict is served in either traditional style, or southwestern style with salsa.
The Hollandaise was oily with a strange brown-green tinge, but the rest of the dish was fine.
Also try their good but hard-to-find Anadama bread (named from the hypocryphal story of a man cursing his wife Anna for ruining the dough).
