Café Bellagio

Café Bellagio serves breakfast from 5-11 am every day, a few hours later on the weekends.

The Café looks out on the Bellagio’s Conservatory of Flowers, and maintains a Vegas-swank ambiance with lots of pastels, a mid-meal checkup from the manager, Keno at every table, and James Bond theme songs playing softly in the background.

Our waitress was confident we would enjoy our meal — when more than half of the table ordered the Café Benedict, she said “oh, you must have heard they’re very good.”

Unfortunately the eggs didn’t quite live up to reputation. The Canadian bacon was chewy but nicely grilled. The eggs looked promising: nicely runny and well-shapes, but were cold. The Hollandaise didn’t have any flavor, and the undercooked, diner-style hash browns only revealed their flavor with an ample scattering of salt and pepper.

Garnishes included a small slab of unripe cantaloupe with half a strawberry and an impaled blueberry, along with an individual-serving side dish of ketchup by each plate: an unfortunate touch.
