@SQC

The name of the restaurant is @SQC after chef Scott Q. Campbell, but the mangled Kinkos-quality logos all seem to read “CasQc.”

Recently opened for brunch with “dinner in a couple weeks, ” @SQC is the newest addition to the Upper West Side brunch selection. Although anything in the area is better than miserable Sarabeth’s, the brunch was busy, mediocre, and a little overpriced.

It was also yellow. With late-autumn sunlight pouring in through a yellow shade, I was considering begging for one of the baseball hats sported by the stroller-pushing UWS crowd.

Three months later, SQC’s Web site still says “Scott’s New New York Restaurant — Coming Soon!”
