An ample pot of tea. Open from 7 a.m. to 2 a.m., the trouck outside say, and taking checks. Black Dog has no eggs Benedict except on weekends — so here we were. Eggs also appear on codfish cakes if you wander off the Benedict path.
Thin-cut deli ham was the strongest piece of the plate. The hollandaise was lemony, if “slightly sour today.” Eggs nicely cooked. Muffins merely fine. Potatoes and onions solid. A reliable Island breakfast, not a revelation.
