Tomato slices add little to this otherwise thouroughly enjoyable brunch.
The grilled, rough-cut ham is delicious, though the potatoes were unmemorable.
Loose-leaf tea, sides of toast and jam complement the painted tables and abundant trout memorabilia.
Service can be slow at times, but the restaurant remains one of the nicest brunch spots in the city.

Update: Anglers & Writers renamed itself the Chick-Inn in 2003, and advance scouts report that the quality of their eggs Benedict has dropped considerably.
