Eight Mile Creek

Poached eggs on buttered crostini, with a choice of spinach or sardines — no hollandaise at all. The oil helped, and the crostini were well buttered under thick sardines.

The eggs were excellent. The bread nearly kept up. Without a sauce to score, this sits outside the usual Benedict ledger, but the eggs alone were worth the visit.
